Microsoft® Windows® 7 Release Candidate.
REVIEW! I'm going to start off by saying I'm not a huge M$ fan. I was granted access to the new Windows 7 operating system. of course I wanted to use the full 64 bits of this laptop so 64bit it was. Even on a broadband connection this was one large and long download. So far windows 7 appears to be operating pretty well. There are a few problems I have ran into with software and such but I do not think it is the fault of the operating system itself as much as it is that this is a totally new operating system, operating on the 64bit platform and there is not as much software for the 64bit system. Now this is also my first time using the 64bit OS. I also use a 64bit Ubuntu 9.04 on this same laptop and the stock OEM of Vista Home Basic. Yes this is a tri-boot laptop and it handles it very well.I hope the performance boost is from M$ streamlining the memory hog attitude of Vista and not the 64bit but I have a feeling that the 64bit is the culprit. Vista has always been slow and cumbersome to me as any release of the windows platform always has been. I have been using Windows since 3.0 and DOS. I have used every release since, beta tested 95 when it hit the market, loved 98, accepted xp and grudgingly learned Vista just to keep up. So far this is one of the best RC's of any windows I have ever tested. Lots of new tools and a major change to the sidebar with desktop gadgets instead of sidebar gadgets with a easy to access menu for hiding, showing or adding/removing gadgets from your desktop. Of course M$ wants to get me hooked on this OS so they supplied the Ultimate edition with the new transparent effects and 3D task switcher. i must say this is all a neat trick. It won't increase your productivity but it will look cool. Ubuntu also has the same type of 3D effects using Compiz and the Desktop Cube, for free.
So far this seems to be a pretty good operating system. The only problem I seem to be having is a power management related issue where the computer will come out of hibernation it will freeze. It appears it is fast, the 64bit edition at least. If you have a chance to give it a try you won't be disappointed but I would also give ubuntu 9.04 a shot too. The more of us that support the open source projects the more affordable all software will become.
Acer Aspire 5515 Laptop.
REVIEW! I recently had the pleasure of using a Acer Aspire 5515 laptop computer. I have used, repaired, customized and consulted on over God only knows how many computer systems since I started using computers way back when the C64 was the computer of choice and the Apple IIe or even the Macintosh. My first computer was a C64. Can anyone say basic? load"qbert",8,1. if you remember that line you remember what I remember. This laptop has the AMD Athlon 64 bit processor. it came stock with Windows Vista Basic, 3 gig of RAM and ample hard drive partitioned into two partitions with a hidden recovery partition. I have ran everything from Office 2007 to Open Office to high end games like GTA San andreas and SimCity with no problems. I also decided to see what kind of MultiMedia I could get out of the built in ATI card, also built by AMD so they fit nicely together, so I plugged it in to my 42" plasma and watched a couple hours of Netflix. It was awesome. The built in wireless card handles speeds up to 54mbps flawlessly.
So in summary the Acer aspire 5515 laptop is a great quality product for a very reasonable price. If you are looking to buy one for under 400-450 you will be very happy with your purchase.
Dynamic Real Estate and Car Dealer Sites.
NEW! Are you a real estate professional a need a web presence? I can help you with this. I designed a site several years ago for Morningstar Realty in Cuba, New Mexico. This site is still going strong and I can help you get one too. I use the Open Realty package as a base to start with. By doing this I am able to utilize a script that is being worked on by professional programmers thus allowing you to benefit from updates and security fixes. After script installation I go to work designing a custom ui (user interface) for your site. Please visit Morningstar Realty to see what I can do.I can also adapt this script to include car dealerships. With a few flicks of the wrist I can have a full fledged, easy to use, dealership website up and flourishing. The best part is your sales force can be quickly trained to manage the site from a protected backend. By utilizing powerful user permission features you can decide who can and who can't. Who can edit listings, who can change things, who can ad listings and so on. I can also provide powerful tools and menus to your potential customers to be able to save ads, email ads to their friends save searches of your database and more.
Phone Flashing Services.
NEW! Phone flashing for almost any flashable phone. Flashing can repair phones that have lost their programming or it can change a phone from one carrier to another. Even though Verizon has become the largest network and has merged with Alltel the actual change over is proving to be slow and it is rumored that some markets will remain Alltel and some will even be sold to other smaller wireless phone companies. Sometimes you want to change services but you want to keep your phone. We have successfully flashed V3C Verizon to Alltel. How I started this: I had a Verizon phone provided by Lightyear Wireless (very much not recommended) but the Verizon service did not work in my area. Well I had bought a new V3c RAZR from them to be on the Verizon network. I already owned, was happy with and used to a V3a so the V3c was a natural choice. I called Alltel customer service and asked if I could use the V3c on my account and they said no. I assumed the rep didn't know what she was talking about as she sounded like she was reading from a script with a heavy East Indian accent. I opted to take my two V3x's to the local Alltel shop and ask them. They said that yes, it could indeed be done but I had to take it to the guy next door and pay him $60.00 bucks to "flash" my phone from Verizon software to Alltel software. I opted to come home and do a little research on this flashing thing. In the process I learned hoards about flashing phones and the tools it takes to accomplish this minor feat. SO I decided to offer a deal on the net. I am currently flashing Motorola RAZR's for $25.00 plus shipping one way, I will pay the shipping back. Want free phone flashing? Willing to let me learn on your flashable phone? If your phone connects to a computer via USB cable and does not use a SIM card I can probably flash it. Since I don't have a chest of phones to experiment with, only these RAZR's, that I have been very successful with, I would be willing to flash the first phones for free. Contact me if you are interested in changing carriers and want to keep your current phone.

Craigslist Listing Services.
Profitable! Craigslist has become one of the most popular ways to sell your wares and why not? They don't charge any fees at all unless you want to post a job in some of the major cities. There are no final value fees and you are encouraged to deal with people in your local community. I have personally sold and bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise on craigslist. In my experience as a poster I have found that well thought out, dynamically written and designed postings get the best results. This is true in every other medium so why not craig's right? Marketers this is not necessarily true for you. If you are trying to get results from craig's, and keep getting flagged remember one thing. Short and sweet. If craig's users think you are marketing a MLM you will be flagged, I guarantee it.I have decided to put my craigslist experience and my web design experience together. If you have a high value item that you would like to sell I would like to do it for you. If you have a low value item to sell I would also like to do it for you. If you are looking to sell your high value items on craigslist and live in New Mexico I will come to you, take pictures, get descriptions and inspect your item. After all physical items have been retrieved I will design a craigslist ad to fit the item, research the item based on it's condition to achieve the highest sales price possible and post to the craigslist venue of your choice.
